What is the new HSGA Women's Division?  Women's Golf is a sector that the HSGA realizes is an important part of the golf community and is looking to continue and enhance Women's Golf events that the HSWGA had started.  In 2016, we started the Women's Division of the Hawaii State Amateur Stroke Play Championship, a 72-hole PGA/LPGA Tour style format.  That same year, we started the Women's division of the Manoa Cup to provide an elite Women's amateur match play event in conjunction with the existing Manoa Cup, which has over 100 years of history.

The HSWGA was formed in April 1976 when a group of 22 women’s golf groups banded together to encourage golf for women in the state, to promote junior golf and to ensure that the USGA standards of handicapping were maintained.

The HSGA and the HSWGA has come to an agreement to combine and support all ages of women moving forward with simplified online registration and to provide events that provide maximum payout to participants as like all HSGA tournaments, we do not operate these for any profit.
We hope you join us in expanding this Women's Division and look forward to providing fun yet challenging events for many years!

We are continuing the following:
  • Hole in one recognition will continue under the current HSGA program with an engraved metal bag tag
  • Sr Women's Player of the Year will be recognized by a points system similar to other POY awards given.  See Sr Women's POY page for list of eligible events.
  • Past HSWGA members will continue to provide women's events under their guidance and with support of HSGA staff.
  • New Women's Division Committee will be formed to further encourage/support Women's Golf for new, current and returning golfers!

Stay tuned for more to come!
